Yelena Chapayeva, formerly named in the original works as Kagura Inazuma is the Assassin and Sniper of the Purple Ragtime Pirates.
She is a descendant of the infamous Vinsmoke Family of assassins through Vinsmoke Reiju and her husband Chapayev patriarch Noreg Chapayev. Her signature weapon is a concealed cigarette-blowgun named Simo which is the ancestral weapon of Noreg, along with a range of throwing knives. She also acquired her rival Kangri Romanov's twin pistols, Sarah and Sally that she uses as side weapons.
Living to her heritage, she is a formidable contract killer that works best in solitude, earning her the nickname of Lone Wolf (一匹狼 Ippiokami?). She is also known for shooting the longest confirmed sniper kill in history, at 6 li (around 3000m) before joining the crew. After joining them, she vowed that she will never kill anyone for good and replaced her ammunition afterwards.

Yelena is a woman of average height with a fair complexion, long red hair and red eyes. During her first appearances before the timeskip, she frequently wears long dresses that both have and lack sleeves.
