My, my. You claim what I do is witchcraft? You wouldn't be wrong, but with that being said, I raise this question... does the method truly matter? If it successfully heals the patient and helps them, then that's what matters. Even a quack who tries their hardest with no real medical background is a Doctor. Why? Because they're still trying to help. I'm going to prove that and bring all of the methods together.
—Blackmore Ada

Blackmore Ada, otherwise known as the Demon Woman (鬼女 Kijo?), is one of the main protagonists of ---. The child of a Scientist and the last "witch" residing Salem, Ada grew up with only her father, as she was kept away from her mother for her own safety. As such, she had no friends as the people of the village either hated her, or wanted her dead, for both being the child of a witch, and having a Devil Fruit, with which, she created her own companions. She grew up studying science under her father, and secretly meeting with her mother in order to learn the ways of medicine.

The villagers soon learned of her mother's exploits in the past with the World Government, and how she was wanted, as well as Ada's daily commutes to her mother's house. The villagers soon informed the Marines of Vivian's location, and upon the Marine's arrival, the villagers kidnapped Ada and tied her to a stake in town square in order to burn her alive. Through this, they also managed to force Vivian from hiding, as well as forcing her father to show up. In order to save Ada, Vivian willingly was taken away to Impel Down.

Years later, Ada was living alone on Salem after her father's death. She soon came across an injured Kevu who laid unconsious and sick in the Seishi Forest. She took him in, and healed him, in exchange for a large sum. Meanwhile, Marines landed on Salem once more, demanding to see Ada, as they believed she knew secrets of the World Government. Ultimately, Ada along with the then-Red Cloak Pirates worked together to fight off the Marines. At the end of the ordeal, Kevu offered Ada a position as the Doctor of his crew, which she happily agreed to.

She has consumed the Ren Ren no Mi, a Paramecia-class Devil Fruit which allows the user preform alchemy.
